Editorial policy
Honest Athlete Network aims to make its explanations clear, careful and accountable. Readers should be able to tell what a page claims, where its limits are and how to raise a concern.
Accuracy and scope
We check names, terminology and factual claims before publication, and keep claims within the evidence available to us. We distinguish general explanation from advice for an individual athlete. Where a question depends on personal circumstances, specialist expertise or rules that vary by place or sport, we say so rather than presenting a universal answer.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. Paid or partner material is labelled clearly where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not determine the conclusions of an editorial piece.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error or unclear wording, contact us with the page title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted, making a correction note when a change materially affects a reader's understanding.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with AI tools. Illustrations are not presented as documentary proof of an event, person or sporting technique. We aim to keep visual treatment from implying facts the accompanying text does not establish.
